Sumana Malakar originally from India, Sumana currently based in Dubai. Graduated in Botany (Hons.) and postgraduate diploma in Computers. The main concepts of her paintings are myths and rituals. Exploring these aspects and aiming for an unconscious state within the viewer, her art takes form in both figurative and abstract styles. Her ultimate goal is to have the viewer feeling a sense of familiarity with the work, a sense of having experienced this before. Her art describes a fantasy that shelters the individual in order to lead the viewer throughout life. With strong surreal influences, she tries to create a universe proclaiming harmony.
