My name is Muhammed and I am 7 years old. I really love my bike and cycling. This Ramadan, I was talking to my Mummy and Daddy a lot about children less fortunate than me. I decided that I really wanted to do something for them.
So I am going to ride 20km on the bike track in my community this Saturday the 8th of May 2021. That is 10 laps! I will start early in the morning so I don’t get too hot.
I am cycling for a charity called Operation Smile UAE. It gives cleft lip surgery to children who can’t afford to have this operation, and changes their lives. It gives them the chance to smile again.

Every child deserves a smile!
For as little as 880 AED we can provide a surgery to a child with a cleft condition and give them a new smile.
Operation Smile is an international medical humanitarian organization that provides free, safe, corrective surgery for children and young adults born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial anomalies
Operation Smile UAE was established in 2011 and began providing surgery to patients in the UAE in 2017. Since then we have provided surgery for 56 patients from more than 15 nationalities here in the UAE.
Operation Smile UAE has also funded medical missions in countries such as Morocco, Ethiopia, Egypt, Madagascar, Malawi, Jordan and the Philippines providing more than 3,500 patients with new smiles.
Established in 1982, Operation Smile it has provided more than 300,000 free surgeries for patients in more than 30 countries worldwide.

We are so blown away by the support, Muhammed reached his initial target of 2500 AED in less than 24 hours! Thank you to everyone for your kindness and generosity. He read all the comments and donations this morning and afternoon with a huge smile on his face and is feeling so motivated for the cause.
He is reaching for the stars and wants to help as many children as possible.

Hello! :)
Muhammed visited Operation Smile UAE today at Al-Jalila Children’s Hospital where they were undertaking a clinic.
He met the dedicated staff who run the charity (and enjoyed doing a coffee run for them!). He also had some questions for the surgeons who perform the operations.
Thank you to Smile Operation UAE for kindly presenting Muhammed with a certificate, he was overjoyed. Something for him to remember the difference even a 7 year old can make in the world.
Once again, it would not have been possible without all the generous donations made, thank you.
