Negative consequences of the lack of education are numerous and can impact both the life of an individual and society. Some of the fatal impacts are poor health, shorter life expectancy, and illegal activities.

A Sharjah-based learning center, The Big Heart Foundation offers a first-of-its-kind program that focuses on illiteracy, targeting youth who have not had any formal education, who had to leave school, and flee their home countries because of conflicts, crises, or inability to afford.
