The shadow of an education crisis looms over Pakistan with 26.2 million children out of school, more than half of whom are girls. These children are deprived of their inherent right to education which results in poverty and an unjust society. Still, there is hope; The Citizens Foundation (TCF) serves as a guiding light for transformation through the power of knowledge and education.

The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a professionally managed non-profit organization that builds and operates formal schools in the urban slums and rural areas of Pakistan. The Economist has called The Citizens Foundation (TCF) "perhaps the largest network of independently run schools in the world." TCF has 1,921 school units in over 64 districts across Pakistan where children were previously out of school. The Foundation is the largest private employer of women in Pakistan with an all-female faculty of 14,000 teachers and principals. Currently, TCF has an enrolment of 286,000 deserving students.
