Children under 12 across Pemba and Unguja have notoriously low reports of a well-rounded diet. This leaves a direct impact on their mental, physical and emotional development. 

Ifraj is addressing this concern by providing a daily serving of a hot breakfast. The basic breakfast is one mug of porridge, which costs about 0.13 USD (0.50 AED) per child. The porridge is made of millet powder, maize powder, oats, sugar and coconut milk. 

The success of this programme rests on our ability to impact as many children as possible.
