Dear Cheerful Givers,
I'm knocking on your kind hearts if you can help us in any way with my mother's plight.
My mother is Francisca Quilbio Custodio, 76 years old and currently in visit visa.
Last Saturday, 26th November, she lost consciousness and was rushed to the emergency room of the Government hospital in Sharjah. The following day, she was sent to the ICU.
She was transfered to Government Hospital in Dubai, on Thursday morning, December 1st.
The doctors have diagnosed her with pneumonia and sepsis, will have to keep her in ICU for close monitoring indefinitely. She is in life support and holding on to her dear life. She hasn't woken up yet.
My situation is tough and I'm afraid I won't be able to pay her bills when the time comes. As the bills are getting huge day by day. Updated invoice as of 9th December 36k plus.
I do not yet have the hospital's final invoices and medical reports, (however, I was able to obtain her current medical reports) as they will only be provided on the day of her discharge. I was able to get her a health card, but according to the policy, only 20% of the costs will be paid.
Again, I'm writing and taking any chances, on behalf of my family in the hopes that you will support us during this trying time.
