As-salamu alaykum, my name is Essa Zulqadar and I am ten years old. I am a supporter of the Indus Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan. In Pakistan, 10,000 children’s lives are at risk every year, due to cancer. The childhood cancer survival rate in developed countries are at 80%, but in Pakistan it is only 35%. 70% are not able to even complete their treatment! The Indus Hospital is on its course to change these numbers. It’s Paediatric Oncology Treatment provides holistic cancer treatment, which not only includes medical intervention but also provides mental health counselling and housing to patients who are in need. Indus Hospital & Health Network has treated over 12,000 children with cancer – absolutely free of cost!
