We thank all supporters who funded the treatment to cure Afra Bassam from Cancer, Afra the little girl from Yemen, now 4 years old is starting the second stage of her treatment, following the diagnosis of Cancer in her eye. Thanks to your donations, she is now training her eye to regain her vision.
Following the multiple chemotherapies and laser surgeries done to her eye, Afra was left with extremely low vision. She can barely see light in her affected eye. Now, little Afra must train her brain to start accepting vision from her eye through the use of special glasses, and regular sight exercises by patching. Six months from now she will need further surgery to correct the alignment of her eyes.
Through the grace of God, and your generosity, Afra is living happily, cancer free and she attended kindergarten for the first time. With your continuous support and generosity, Afra will have a chance to see and live a normal life.
Afra needs 30,000 AED to help her complete her next treatment journey and cover the expenses of her surgery.
نشكر كل من تبرع و ساهم بمد يد العون لعلاج الطفلة عفرا من مرض السرطان، عفراء ابنت ال4 ربيعا، يمنية الجنسية تعيش في بلاد الخير و العطاع، دولة الامارات. قد شخصت اصابتها بمرض السرطان في عينها و هو من الأورام النادرة التي تصيب الأطفال.
بفضل الله و دعمكم بدأت عفراء رحلة علاج مكثفة و شاقة، تعرضت من خلالها لجلسات العلاج الكيماوي عبر القسطرة و خضعت لعدد من العمليات بالليزر حتى بدا الورم الخبيث بالتقلص و الانكماش.
و الان تبدا عفراء المرحلة الثانية من العلاج لاسترجاع نظرها عبر النظارات الخاصة و تمارين النظر لتدرب الدماغ على استقبال الرؤية و بعد ذلك ستجري عفراء عملية جراحية لعلاج الحول
