Macro Charity Step Challenge 2026 – Supporting Orphan Care in Gaza

Throughout July 2026, colleagues across Macro will come together for the annual Macro Charity Step Challenge, a global initiative promoting wellbeing, teamwork, and positive social impact.

From 1–31 July, participants will track their daily steps through the StepUp Pedometer App, competing alongside colleagues from different regions while improving their physical and mental wellbeing. Whether walking, running, hiking, or simply staying active throughout the day, every step contributes to a collective goal of creating meaningful change.

For colleagues across the MENA and APAC regions, funds raised through Gulf for Good will support Orphan Care in Gaza, helping provide vulnerable children with essential care, protection, education, and support during an ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The challenge demonstrates how small daily actions can create a significant impact, bringing colleagues together around a shared purpose: improving wellbeing while helping children and communities in need.

Together, every step taken throughout July will help make a lasting difference for orphaned children in Gaza.

The Orphan Care Gaza project aims to bring hope and stability to children who have lost their parents in the ongoing crisis. We are partnering with Taawon (Welfare Association) to fund and support orphaned children in Gaza.

Each child will receive comprehensive care, including:

Nutritious food and clothing

Access to healthcare and education

Psychosocial and trauma support to help them rebuild their lives

This initiative is delivered through Taawon’s Noor Orphan Care Program, a trusted and well-established system that provides real-time transparency via the Noor Digital Portal. Donors will be able to track the progress and impact of their support through regular updates from Taawon and Gulf for Good.

FUNDRAISING

This challenge is held in association with Gulf for Good, a UAE-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children and communities worldwide.

The breakdown of how donations are distributed is as follows:

75% of funds raised go directly to Taawon (Welfare Association) to fund and support orphaned children in Gaza.

15% of funds raised go to Gulf for Good, supporting their ongoing efforts to deliver impactful charitable projects.

10% of funds raised go to Dubai Humanitarian for their emergency response initiatives.
