Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities and advancing their right to education, rehabilitation, training, and meaningful participation in society.
Established in **1979**, SCHS has continuously developed its services and programs to meet the needs of people with disabilities of different ages and nationalities across the United Arab Emirates. In **1995**, Emiri Decree No. (4) of 1995 established the City as an independent nonprofit organization with its own legal personality and financial and administrative independence.
For more than four decades, SCHS has worked to move beyond the concept of care toward **empowerment**, providing specialized education, training, rehabilitation, and employment services, alongside social, awareness, and community-based programs. These services help people with disabilities develop their abilities, achieve greater independence, and participate actively in society.
SCHS believes that disability does not define a person’s potential. With the right opportunities, specialized support, and an inclusive environment, every individual can learn, grow, contribute, and build a more independent life.

مدينة الشارقة للخدمات الإنسانية هي مؤسسة أهلية مستقلة تُعنى بتمكين الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وتعزيز حقهم في التعليم والتأهيل والتدريب والمشاركة الفاعلة في المجتمع
تأسست المدينة عام **1979**، واستمرت منذ ذلك الحين في تطوير خدماتها وبرامجها لتلبية احتياجات الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة من مختلف الأعمار والجنسيات في دو الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وفي عام **1995**، صدر المرسوم الأميري رقم (4) لسنة 1995 لتصبح المدينة مؤسسة أهلية مستقلة تتمتع بالشخصية الاعتبارية والاستقلال المالي والإداري
على مدى أكثر من أربعة عقود، عملت المدينة على تحويل مفهوم الرعاية إلى **التمكين**، من خلال تقديم خدمات متخصصة في التعليم والتدريب والتأهيل والتشغيل، إلى جانب الخدمات الاجتماعية والتوعوية والتثقيفية، بما يساعد الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة على تطوير قدراتهم، وتحقيق قدر أكبر من الاستقلالية، والمشاركة بفاعلية في المجتمع
وتؤمن المدينة بأن الإعاقة لا تحدد قدرات الإنسان، وأن توفير الفرص المناسبة والدعم المتخصص يمكن أن يفتح آفاقًا جديدة للتعلم والعمل والحياة المستقلة
وبدعم المجتمع وشركائنا والمتبرعين، نواصل العمل من أجل مجتمع أكثر شمولًا، يحصل فيه كل شخص على الفرصة التي يستحقها ليكون قادرًا، مستقلًا، وفاعلًا في مجتمعه
